The Naples Mayor, Teresa Heitmann, was scheduled for another court appearance Wednesday morning in connection to her DUI arrest in late August .
According to police, her blood alcohol level was more than double the legal limit.
In a 9-1-1 call, a couple said they were followed home by Heitmann who stopped her car on their grass.
When officers arrived, Heitmann agreed to do sobriety test which led to her arrest.
Officers said they could smell alcohol on her despite her saying she only had one glass of wine.
Back in August Heitmann entered a written plea of not guilty.
Since her arrest, there has been public calls for Mayor Heitmann to step down.
Just last month she spoke about her arrest publicly , saying she has full remorse for what happened.
NBC2 was in court where they say Heitmann was not present. Her next court date for waiver is set for December 11 at 9 a.m.
