The Estero Parkway overpass above I-75 closed at noon on Friday due to maintenance, according to the Florida Department of Transportation.
The overpass will be closed until 5 a.m. Tuesday, weather permitting.
A good alternate route will be Corkscrew Road. NBC2 crews note there are a lot of detour signs in the area that help people know where to go.
FDOT crews say they will be working on the bridge structure to enhance safety and extend service life.
