Week 11 of the high school football regular season in Southwest Florida is officially in the books. One of the marquee matchups happened in Collier County as two private school juggernauts matched up -- Evangelical Christian School versus Community School of Naples.
ECS locked up its spot in the FHSAA playoffs last week thanks to winning its district title. So, the Sentinels went into Friday night's matchup cool, calm and collected. CSN on the other hand, lost in the district championship last week against FBA. So, the Seahawks needed to make a statement win on Friday to help their case for an at-large playoff bid.
From the opening kickoff, CSN made its statement. The Seahawks tried multiple onside kicks, converting two of them back to back in the first half. Their offense was also clicking on all cylinders with Cale Austin under center and Jayvian Tanelus behind him in the backfield. CSN came out of the gates hot and never looked back as they beat their private school foe 34-6.
