Estero and Bonita Springs began the 'Jaws vs. Claws' rivalry in 2019. Lee County's two most southern schools have met on the gridiron each season since. The majority of the matchups have gone the way of the Wildcats.
The sixth rendition of the rivalry played out on Friday night as Estero made the short trip to Bonita Springs. With the stands packed on both sides, the Wildcats and Bullsharks traded blows throughout the first half. It wasn't until the second that Estero's defense started to dominate and its offense turned it up a notch. In the end, the Jaws defeated the Claws in a 61-21 blowout win for Estero.
