Cape Coral police are investigation a home on SW 14th Place Saturday afternoon.
NBC2 crews on the scene said they saw a forensics team searching cars in front of the home. Officers are on the scene scanning the yard with a metal detector, and at least fifty evidence markers have been placed in the front yard.
"It was crazy. This was going on all night," said Cape Coral visitor Julia Black.
Julia is staying at her cousin's home near the home that is being investigated where she says someone aggressively knocked on the door around 2 a.m.
"And then a little bit later, I would say within 5 to 10 minutes, we did see a lot of cars going fast up and down. And then we heard, he said it was fireworks, lots of fireworks, but it wasn't fireworks," Black said.
She says her cousin went to see what was going on and he said he saw younger kids yelling at each other, and heard what he thought was a plane.
"I'm like, it's not a plane. It's four in the morning. And turns out it was a helicopter kept circling and circling. And then we saw some lights. We came out and there was at least 20 police cars lining the street, and they had it all blocked off," Black said.
Just two houses down from where Cape Coral police are investigating you can see a bullet hole in the garage of a home on SW 14th Place.
A truck was also struck by a bullet.
Luke Harpold, a nearby resident, says he and his mom were in the backyard camping Friday night.
"We, we heard like multiple gunshots being fired, like then being intercepted. And then we like, really started to try and go in," Harpold said.
