Cape Coral residents near SW 14th Place captured the moments gunshots were heard around 2 a.m. on Saturday.
Brandon Warman said he and his wife called 911 right away. Then, as a former police officer, he jumped into action.
"There was a car that stood out that took off down the road that I chased down to get the license plate off of it, and then we came back, and I gave it right to the officers as soon as they arrived on the scene."
Police investigated a home on the street all day Saturday, with at least 50 evidence markers in the front yard. Several neighbors found bullet holes in their garages and cars.
Neighbors said they've had concerns about this home for a while, and they hope police find the right people responsible so this doesn't happen again.
Amber Wilson, who lives right behind the home said, "the owner should 100% be accountable." Other neighbors agree.
Wilson said the night she heard the gunshots, she thought she heard a party going on inside the house.
On Airbnb, the house police investigated is listed. Under the rules, it states, "no loud house parties."
"We built in 202, and it's been a problem since then," Wilson said. "A lot of parties. I mean, random parties like this."
Plus, neighbors said the people staying in the home were acting strange toward trick-or-treaters.
"They're like, we don't have any candy, but we have money."
Wilson and other neighbors said the house needs to be sold.
