The Village of Estero wants to add more space for a new sports facility along Williams Road at Estero High School for anyone to be able to use.
They're looking to do that by utilizing parts of the Estero Rec Center, which is right next to the school.
First, the vote is in the Lee County Commissioners' hands today.
Three ballfields and two buildings on 25 acres worth of land. That's the amount the Village of Estero is looking to purchase from the rec center.
The addition of space will go toward the new sports facility that's said to have tennis and pickleball courts.
Once the facility is complete, which is part of Estero High School, it will be open to everyone.
The goal is to have everything done in January.
