The Lee County Sheriff's Office is investigating after three men allegedly broke in and damaged a home in Fort Myers Shores on Tuesday.
Deputies said they responded to a home on Palm Beach Boulevard for reports of a burglary.
Upon arrival, deputies met with a man who is a caretaker of the victim's home. The man told deputies at approximately 5 p.m., he arrived at the home to find three men inside.
The man said he told the men to leave, which they did. According to reports, the man checked around the house and found several televisions with their screens smashed and a lamp that had been destroyed.
An unknown amount of alcohol had also reportedly been stolen.
Investigations revealed that the three men entered the house through an unlocked sliding door in the back.
Deputies say there were muddy footprints all over the house, along with several cabinets and pieces of furniture opened with their contents moved.
LCSO has not shared any information on the suspects at this time.
