Veterans Day is Monday, which means it's time to honor the sacrifices and bravery military members have provided to protect and serve the United States of America.

Fort Myers
Midpoint Madness Veterans Day 5K
Join hundreds of runners for the 3.1-mile race beginning at the base of the Midpoint Bridge on Colonial Boulevard. All proceeds from the event benefit the YMCA's financial assistance program.
The event is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Registration fees cost $35 for non-veterans, and $20 for veterans.
Cape Coral
Cape Coral Veterans Day Parade
Cape Coral Parks and Recreation, and other local supporters, are hosting the community parade on Saturday, Nov. 9, from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. in downtown Cape Coral.
Veterans Day Breakfast
Oasis Middle School is hosting a Veterans Day Breakfast from 7:30 a.m.-8:30 a.m. as part of a ten-year tradition.
Sanibel
Annual Veterans Day Celebration
The Lee Coast Chapter Military Officers Association of America invites the community to join their annual Veterans Day Celebration on Monday at 11 a.m. at Sanibel City Hall.
Estero
Veterans Day Park Party
The City of Estero is hosting a Veterans Day Park Party on Saturday from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. for family, friends and neighbors.
There will be wartime mini-musicals, hot dogs, American classis and muscle car shown live music, face painting and a special guest appearance.
Ben Allen Band Veterans Day Benefit
The popular Southwest Florida country band performs to raise money for the Miles of Smiles Foundation, which uses the horses at North Fort Myers' Miles Ranch to give PTSD therapy to combat veterans.
The night also includes a silent auction, raffles, food and drinks starting at 5 p.m. on Monday for $25 at Nauti Parrot Oasis.

Veterans Day Breakfast
A Veterans Day Breakfast is scheduled to thank all the people who have served our country. ELKS is hosting the breakfast which is free for all Veterans and $10 for non-veterans on Monday at 9 a.m. at 11250 Tamiami Trail E, Suite A1, in Naples.
Veterans Day Luncheon
Ed Wheeler is hosting a free lunch for veterans and their guests on Monday at 11 a.m. at 1001 Silver Kakes Boulevard in Naples.
Marco Island
Veterans Day Celebration Concert
The City of Marco Island Parks and Recreation is hosting a free concert on Sunday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., featuring the Dave Ray Band at Veterans Community Park.
Charlotte County
Port Charlotte
Charlotte County is hosting a Veterans Day Parade on Monday from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Port Charlotte Beach Park Complex.
The parade will start at Port Charlotte Beach Park, travel along Harbor Boulevard to Edgewater Drive and on to the William R. Gaines Jr. Veterans Memorial Park.

Vision Ace Hardware is hosting a Veterans Day celebration on Monday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at 350 W Hickpochee Avenue. All veterans and active-duty military members get one free sharpening with the Resharp machine if you bring your military ID.
