Florida football teams across the NFL, FBS, and FCS endured a rare and dismal 0-11 weekend, marking the first time the state has gone winless in these three major competitions.
With the Miami Dolphins set to face the Los Angeles Rams on Monday night, they are the last hope to prevent a historic shutout for the Sunshine State.

On Thursday, the Florida Atlantic University Owls traveled north to East Carolina to battle the Pirates. The Owls returned to Boca Raton after a 49-14 beatdown.
The Florida Gators visited the Texas Longhorns, the No. 3 ranked team in the nation, for College Football's Big Noon matchup on Saturday. Longhorns' Quinn Ewers twirled the rock 27 times, completing 19 passes for 333 yards and five touchdowns to top the Gators 49-17.
Heisman frontrunner Cam Ward and the Miami Hurricanes went on the road to Atlanta to take on the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets in an ACC matchup. Ward's 348 yards and three touchdowns weren't enough for Georgia Tech as they fell 28-23.
The Florida State Seminoles have found themselves in unfamiliar territory this season with just one win on the year. The Seminoles traveled to Notre Dame on Saturday to take on the Fighting Irish in what would turn out to be a 52-3 blowout. The Seminoles now sit at the bottom of the ACC with a 1-9 record.
The University of South Florida Bulls broke ground on their new stadium Friday. The Navy Midshipmen spoiled that celebration with a 28-8 victory over the Bulls.
The Arizona State Sun Devils played host to the University of Central Florida Knights in a barnburner. Knights running back RJ Harvey carried the ball 25 times for 127 yards and three touchdowns, which ultimately wasn't enough as Arizona State came out on top 35-31.
The Florida A&M Rattlers visited the Prairie View A&M Panthers in an FCS duel. The Panthers scored in all but one quarter and were firing on all cylinders on offense, capturing a 31-12 victory over the Rattlers.
Bethune-Cookman traveled to Baton Rouge, Louisiana, as the Wildcats took on the Southern Jaguars. The Wildcats' quarterback, Cam Ransom, threw for 243 yards and two touchdowns, with running back Dennis Palmer rushing for 84 yards and a touchdown. Even with those efforts, the Jaguars came out on top 25-23.
DeLand's Stetson Hatters battled the Marist Red Foxes in a Pioneer League contest on Saturday. The Red Foxes captured their first win of the season 40-31 after scoring five touchdowns on the ground and returning a punt.
Baker Mayfield and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers welcomed Brock Purdy and the San Francisco 49ers to Raymond James Stadium. It was a nail-biter for the Bucs, but Purdy's 353 yards and two touchdowns were too much as the 49ers narrowly won 23-20.
The Jacksonville Jaguars had an uphill battle on Sunday as the team announced starting quarterback Trevor Lawrence was out for the game. The Jaguars relied on Mac Jones to take on one of the NFL's top-ranked defensive units. Jones found paydirt on a QB sneak in the first quarter, but it wasn't enough for the Vikings' four field goals as Minnesota won 12-7.
Now, Tua Tagovailoa and the 2-6 Miami Dolphins head out west to take on Matthew Stafford and the 4-4 Los Angeles Rams for an 8:15 p.m. Monday night matchup.
The Dolphins are the state's last chance to avoid a winless weekend in football, something that has never happened.
