A crash on the interstate quickly turned into a rescue mission. The five-vehicle crash happened Friday afternoon on I-75, south of Palm Beach Boulevard.
The Lee County Sheriff's Office said a dog involved got scared and bolted out of the car. Deputies and Tice firefighters found him in the river nearby.
LSCO shared body camera footage of the officials kayaking him to shore.
LSCO said the dog was taken to BluePearl Pet Hospital and is in good health.
According to FHP, the people involved in the crash sustained minor injuries and are expected to be OK.
