A Naples man has been sentenced to five years in prison after investigations found him in possession of child sexual abuse material.
Myles Edwin Huff, 46, was also ordered by the court to register as a sex offender.
According to court documents, the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children received 28 cyber tips from an electronic service provider that said Huff was in possession of child sex abuse material.
On Nov. 16, 2023, the FBI executed a search warrant at Huff's home where they obtained his cellphone.
When interviewing with agents, Huff admitted to using his cellphone to search for child sexual abuse material, which was later confirmed by a forensic examination of the phone that revealed images of abusive material.
The Lee County Sheriff's Office assisted the FBI, as well as the Fort Myers Child Exploitation & Human Trafficking Task Force, in the investigation.
