The Town of Fort Myers Beach is set to discuss a possible rezoning for Pink Shell Resort on Tuesday.
The town held a hearing for a requested rezoning of Pink Shell Resort at 9 a.m.
The request proposes a rezoning of two new properties, totaling 6.02 acres.
The new properties would include a new resort building as well as a residential duplex.
According to a staff report from the Town of Fort Myers Beach, the proposed development would exceed the allowed number of hotel units by 40, the number of hotel units proposed for the new resort.
The town council is recommended to deny this proposal and will decide the outcome at the LPA meeting.
