A woman was rescued after she fell and suffered a head injury leading to erratic behavior, authorities said.
The incident happened on Nov. 6 near Crabapple Avenue in North Port.
According to the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office, its aviation unit helped North Port first responders find the woman after she ran from a residence to a heavily wooded lot.
With the help of thermal imaging, the aviation unit was able to pinpoint her location.
Other units, such as K-9s and drones, were also used during the search.
The North Port Police Department said she was taken to a local ER and received needed care. NPPD said they believe she is OK.
