Multiple EMS units responded to Lehigh Senior High School on Friday during an outdoor JROTC Veterans Day Ceremony.
According to the Lee County School District, students experienced discomfort in the heat while participating in the ceremony. Three students were taken to a local hospital for further evaluation.
25 students who were triaged and checked by EMS.
One student was transported due to heat-related concerns.
One student was transported due to an unrelated medical issue.
Some students were released to their parents, others went back to school.
