It's the first round of the FHSAA High School Football Playoffs and a lot is at stake for teams across Southwest Florida!
GAME OF THE WEEK: #5 Cape Coral vs. #4 Immokalee
The Immokalee Indians welcomed the Cape Coral Seahawks for a heavy-weight bout in the first round of the Florida High School Athletic Association Playoffs.
Immokalee entered the content with a near perfect 9-1 record. Their only loss came back in Week 3 against the Naples Golden Eagles. The Indians has posted 438 points this season, while only allowing 228 points on the defensive side of the ball.
On the other hand, the Seahawks hit the road with an 8-1 record. Their only loss was way back in Week 1 against North Fort Myers. Cape Coral scored 231 points during the regular season, while only allowing 77 points. In the last four games of the regular season, the Seahawks only allowed six points per game.
In the end, Immokalee had the upper hand on the Seahawks as the Indians will now move on to the second round following their 26-19 victory.
