The first round of the FHSAA playoffs got underway this Friday. In Class 1A-Region 3, fourth-seeded Community School of Naples hosted fifth-seeded St. John Neumann. The Seahawks beat the Celtics handly in their regular season matchup.
Their playoff showdown proved to be no different. CSN jumped out of the gates thanks to Jayvian Tanelus who scored his fourth touchdown of the game just midway through the second quarter. Seahawks quarterback Cale Austin contributed a couple touchdowns through the air after that, leading to a 49-0 score heading into the half.
That trend continued in the second as CSN finished rolled to a 63-14 win. The Seahawks will now play top-seeded Cardinal Newman in the Regional Semifinals.
