A man was arrested Thursday night after being accused of breaking into six Southeast Cape Coral businesses.
According to the Cape Coral Police Department, Elian Everett, 23, is the man accused of multiple smash-and-grab burglaries.
The report states on Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2024, officers responded to the Superior Hemp Dispensary for a burglary alarm.
CCPD said no one was inside.
The same store was burglarized again on Saturday, Nov. 9.
The dispensary reported over $1300 in products and cash stolen.
On Monday, Nov. 11, 2024, four different businesses were burglarized. Detectives received video footage, that was released to help identify the suspect.
One of the businesses showed the video to a regular customer. They recognized the suspect and told detectives.

Detectives found Everett and he was questioned.
An investigation revealed that Everett was responsible for all six smash-and-grab burglaries.
Some of the stolen products were returned to the different businesses.
Detectives also determined that he was responsible for a burglary in Fort Myers
CCPD said Everett also had two outstanding extraditable warrants, one of which was for burglary.
His charges include:
- 7 counts of burglary of an unoccupied structure — unarmed
- 7 counts of criminal mischief — $1,000 or more
- 5 counts of grand theft — $750 - $5,000
- 1 count of resisting without violence
- 2 extraditable warrants
