Clewiston Police are investigating after officers responded to Walmart for reports of an active shooter on Friday evening.
Clewiston police and the Hendry County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene.
According to a social media post by the Clewiston Police Department, no one was shot in the incident and they have a suspect in custody.
Officers said this is a "very active" investigation and they are unable to provide further information at this time.
Deputies said they do not believe the public is in any danger. Shoppers are being asked to avoid the area at this time.
