In a rematch from September 20, Fort Myers was hosting Charlotte in the first round of the playoffs. The Green Wave took down the Tarpons 42-21 in that game and was looking to do it again.
Fort Myers led 7-0 at the half, but the action picked up in the third quarter. Charlotte's Seven Bullock found the endzone three times, twice on offense and one defensive score (pick six), to give the Tarpons some life and the lead heading into the final frame.
But with just 2:35 left in the fourth, Fred Jackson ran in the game-tying touchdown which would force overtime. Fort Myers stopped Charlotte from scoring on fourth-and-goal from the one-yard line, then Madrid Tucker rushed in the game winner from two yards out.
FINAL: Fort Myers 27, Charlotte 21.
