The city of Cape Coral broke ground on a new park on Monday morning, bringing plenty of new features to northwest Cape Coral.
Tropicana Park will be the newest addition to Cape Coral, offering access points, a beach, a boat tie-up and even a kayak launch.
The city also plans to add an observation pavilion, a playground and walking paths with fitness stations for you to come out and go on a stroll.
This park is part of the city's general obligation bond referendum from 2018, which approved $60 million to expand the city's parks and recreation facilities.
This will be the city's 48th park. Tropicana is expected to be completed by winter of 2025.
The groundbreaking ceremony began 9 a.m. at 4101 Tropicana Parkway W.
