The San Carlos Park Fire District responded to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection on Alico Road Thursday morning.
Fire crews responded to the scene at the intersection of Alico Rd and Oriole Rd.
The crash caused all west bound lanes of Alico Rd to shut down. Both cars were heavily damaged, and one car caught fire.
Two patients were treated for minor injuries, per SCPFD.
The Lee County Sheriff's Office also responded to the scene.
As of 12:50 p.m., crews are still on the scene to mitigate hazards. Drivers are asked to seek an alternate route.
