A fire charred the inside of a home in Cape Royal on Thursday morning.
According to the Matlacha/Pine Island Fire Control District, they responded to a fire with flames and smoke in Cape Royal.
The fire was contained to one room. The fire department did not mention injuries or if anyone was inside the home during the fire.
The fire department states the Cape Coral Fire Department, the Lee County Sheriff's Office, and Lee County Emergency Medical Services also responded to the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
