This Black Friday, shoppers are headed to stores to try and save a few bucks and get the best deals.
The Lee County Sheriff's Office is keeping an eye on shoppers and reminding people to watch their surroundings.
Shopper Jackie Lutkent said, "We went back to our old tradition of waking up, having our coffee, and go shopping as a family."
While some people prefer online deals, others still enjoy that in-store experience.
The National Retail Federation says about two-thirds of shoppers made a plan to shop in stores on Black Friday.
NBC2 crews saw people lining up as early as 5 a.m. to be the first ones in the doors.
A Cape Coral Couple said they were up at 3 a.m. to kick off their holiday shopping season.
"We enjoy the excitement. We love watching people. So it's just it's just a lot of fun," said Ed and Adrian Negron.
