At least one person was pulled from a vehicle after a car plunged into a Lehigh Acres canal late Wednesday evening.
Lee County deputies, along with fire crews, responded to the scene on Williams Avenue, off Lee Boulevard and east of Homestead Road, just before midnight.
The car was barely above the water when responders arrived. The scene was cleared around 2:30 a.m.
