A man was injured after an explosion occurred in the parking lot of a Holiday Inn Express at 1024 W Sugarland Hwy in Clewiston.

Around 5:30 p.m., authorities received calls reporting the incident, according to the Hendry County Sheriff's Office.
During the investigation, it was discovered that an explosion had happened while the man was working inside the back of his vehicle.
According to HCSO, the man was transported to the hospital for medical care.
NBC2 is working to find out the man's current condition.
While fire crews on the scene were investigating the explosive, they discovered a "small amount of undetected explosives," HCSO said.
The Collier County Sheriff's Office Bomb Squad then helped with the disposal of the items.
The areas from San Luis to Berner Road and south to Ventura to Sagamore were temporarily closed as crews disposed of the undetonated devices.
The disposal of the explosives has since been completed and roadways are open.
