The Lee County Sheriff's Office is warning residents about a recurring scam.
According to LCSO, scammers are calling victims stating they missed court and an arrest warrant was out for them. The scammers posing as an LCSO member also tell victims to pay a fine.
They then threaten to arrest the victim if they do not pay the fine.
LCSO said they will never contact anyone to request funds for any reason.
Anyone who might've witnessed the scam or is a victim can call LCSO's fraud line at (239)258-3292.
