Three years after he nearly lost his life in a car elevator accident at the Ferrari of Naples dealership, local chef Brian Roland has settled with the company.
According to court documents, the confidential settlement was reached on Nov. 19.
In December 2021, Roland was working as a chef at a dealership party when he got pinned under a vehicle elevator.
Roland is a well-known area chef and founder of Crave Culinaire, a Southwest Florida catering business.
Roland was using the elevator to move supplies and equipment for the event.
Roland and his wife sued Ferrari, Interluxe Group, Envirostruct, Elite Consulting, Elite Permits of Naples, the Collier County Board of Commissioners, Miner Enterprises, Autoquip, and Snap-On in 2023 for at least $100,000 in damages.
NBC2 has reached out to Roland's lawyers to see if this puts an end to the lawsuit.
