New details have emerged surrounding a teen accused of carjacking a woman near McGregor Baptist Church in Fort Myers on Friday afternoon.
According to an arrest report from the Lee County Sheriff's Office, Felix Ayala, 16, was originally in protective custody under a Baker Act before escaping.
The report states Ayala was at Salus Care on Deer Run Farms Road in Fort Myers, just a quarter-mile away from the carjacking scene.
LCSO said Salus Care contacted them around 11:07 a.m. due to Ayala hopping over a security fence of the facility.
Surveillance footage from Salus Care reportedly showed Ayala escaping toward Southwest Florida Christian Academy.
Detectives reviewed surveillance video from Southwest Florida Christian Academy which they said showed Ayala committing the carjacking .
Detectives said they collected a shirt near the scene of the carjacking which reportedly matched the description of the shirt he was wearing during his escape.
Deputies spoke with the carjacking victim who said she was outside in the parking lot when Ayala approached her.
According to LCSO, Ayala threatened to shoot the victim in the parking lot if she did not hand over the keys to her car. The report does not state whether or not the suspect was armed.
The report states Ayala saw the keys in the backseat, grabbed them, and drove off from the school.

Around 2:44 p.m., Florida Highway Patrol Troopers found the car driving near Daniels Parkway and Paul J Doherty Pkwy.
A traffic stop was attempted on the car, but the driver, later identified as Cecil Woodward, 17, fled from troopers. The report states the car crashed into parked vehicles before two people got out and ran away.
FHP said Woodward was arrested and charged with fleeing, hit-and-run and accessory after the fact.
According to the arrest report, Ayala went onto the airport's tarmac near airplanes before being arrested by deputies.
Ayala was arrested and is facing one count of carjacking, one count of trespassing on critical infrastructure property and one count of resisting an officer.
It is unclear at this time as to why Ayala was originally under protective custody at Salus Care.
Court documents state Ayala made an appearance with his attorney in the Lee County Courthouse on Tuesday around 1:30 p.m.
According to reports, the state asked for pre-trial detention to which the judge denied.
The judge reportedly ordered a bond, GPS tracking and ordered Ayala to stay away from the victim.
According to the Lee County Sheriff's Office website , Ayala is still in custody as of Wednesday morning.
