Meeting Eloise Bayliss, you'll notice she has confidence well beyond her years.
But that's not the only thing that makes her stand out. She was born with a congenital limb difference of her left arm.
"There's no reason for it, she was just born missing her left hand," Elizabeth, Eloise's mom, said.
Elizabeth is determined to give her daughter as normal a life as possible. She found what's called a "hero arm," or a bionic arm and hand. Once attached, it senses Eloise's arm movements in order to move the fingers. Thanks to this, Eloise now has two hands, not one.
"I don't want to call it a superpower, but it is something really extraordinary," Elizabeth said.
The arm is custom-made with a "Moana"-themed arm cover as a collaboration between companies Open Bionics and Disney.
"When I first brought it to school, everyone was going crazy. But when I don't bring it to school, they're literally like, yeah, you don't belong here," Eloise said.
Despite the noise, her uniqueness doesn't stop her from living life to the fullest. Eloise has even drawn a graphic novel mirroring her experience that she plans to one day publish.
"It's basically about a character who goes through a dramatic change, and he has to live with it," Eloise said.
So, while not everyone accepts Eloise's difference, there is a silver lining.
"It causes her to speak up for others, so other people that are being bullied or kids with differences," Elizabeth said.
"Do you think you'll help kids like you one day?" Britt Leoni asked.
"Probably," Eloise said.
Eloise learns that all that matters is that she accepts herself.
