The Fort Myers Fire Department offers a free class on compressions-only CPR. This class is taught throughout the year at multiple locations. The goal is to train and prepare members of the community with basic life-saving techniques.

Lee County Heartsaver CPR and AED course. Learn CPR, automated external defibrillation, barrier devices, and first aid for choking. It teaches how to recognize the signs of four major emergencies: heart attack, stroke, cardiac arrest, and foreign-body airway obstruction.
Participants receive a card certifying completion of the AHA HeartSaver AED Program.

Iona-McGregor Fire District
offers a video-based, instructor-led course that teaches adult and child CPR and AED use, infant CPR, and how to relieve choking in adults, children, and infants. This course teaches skills with the AHA’s research-proven practice-while-watching technique, which allows instructors to observe the students, provide feedback, and guide the students’ learning of skills.

provides a two-year American Heart certification, and make use of only the most current training materials. CPR classes run 3.5 hours, 2 hours more if First Aid training is also included. They offer CPR, AED, and First Aid certification classes throughout the state.
