A deadly crash has closed lanes in both directions of Bermont Road, between Paradise Park and Eugene Avenue, in Charlotte County Wednesday morning.
The Charlotte County Sheriff's Office, along with the Florida Highway Patrol, responded to the scene around 3:15 a.m.
Deputies said the roadway is expected to be shut down for several hours as they investigate the two-vehicle crash.
Drivers are asked to find an alternate route as there is limited space for large vehicle turnaround.
The victim's identity and the cause of the crash have not been identified at this time.
