One man is dead and a deputy is injured after a fatal car crash in Collier County on I-75 early Saturday morning.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a deputy with the Collier County Sheriff's Office was blocking traffic in response to a crash.
During the traffic block, a construction vehicle crashed into a Road Ranger truck and the truck hit the CCSO cruiser.
The Florida Highway Patrol says the driver of the construction vehicle was pronounced dead and the deputy sustained minor injuries.
