Three men are behind bars after being accused of armed robbery on Fort Myers Beach, which led to a vehicle chase and a foot pursuit on Christmas Eve.
According to the Lee County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to Connecticut Street on Tuesday after receiving a report of an armed robbery.
The victim told deputies they were tackled, held at gunpoint, and robbed by three men who demanded money.
The suspects were later identified as Keirson White, 20, William Crews, 17, and Jacob Refuse 17.
Deputies say they found the suspects' vehicle near San Carlos Boulevard and Pine Ridge Road a short time later.
The driver failed to stop, and a chase with deputies ensued. During the chase, deputies say Crews threw a firearm out of the car window and attempted to run away while Refuse and White continued in the vehicle.
Deputies surrounded the trio and arrested all three suspects without further incident, according to LCSO.
Crews and Refuse face charges of robbery with a firearm. White faces charges of accessory after the fact and fleeing or attempting to elude law enforcement.
