Deputies are searching for a Fort Myers man accused of pulling a gun on a woman during a road rage incident in Cape Coral.
According to SW Florida Crime Stoppers, Wander Barrios, 22, is wanted after failing to appear in court for charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
The victim told authorities she was driving on Veterans Parkway with her 5-year-old daughter when Barrios approached her vehicle at a traffic light. She said Barrios screamed at her and pulled a gun, accusing her of cutting him off in traffic.
After several tense moments, Barrios reportedly returned to his car, allowing the woman to call the police.
Cape Coral officers quickly found Barrios a short distance away and arrested him on charges of assault. He was released three days later but failed to appear for his court date, prompting a warrant for his arrest.
Barrios is described as 5-foot-8 and 160 pounds, with his last known residence in the Pine Manor neighborhood of Fort Myers. Anyone with information about his whereabouts is encouraged to contact law enforcement.
