A man was killed outside Casa Blanca restaurant in south Fort Myers on Wednesday night.
According to the Lee County Sheriff's Office, at 8 p.m. deputies responded to the parking lot of the restaurant in reference to a shooting.
When deputies arrived, they found a man dead with gunshot wounds.
The suspect was identified as Steve Iglesia, 25. He was immediately detained.
Detectives learned Iglesia was at the restaurant with family when he got into an argument. The verbal fight turned physical and continued outside of the restaurant.
LCSO says that's when Iglesia shot the victim.
Iglesia was charged with second-degree murder and domestic violence battery.
The sheriff's office said Iglesia is currently in custody at the Lee County Jail and is awaiting first appearance.
