A $97 million project is underway to improve traffic flow at one of Collier County's busiest interchanges: Interstate 75 at Exit 101 and Collier Boulevard.
Construction crews are building new flyover and loop ramps to ease congestion. One of the main features is a single-lane flyover ramp that will rise above Beck Boulevard, connecting northbound Collier Boulevard traffic to I-75.
Another ramp will extend southbound I-75 traffic to a new traffic light at Collier Boulevard and Business Circle North.
Drivers should expect lane closures, shifts, and narrower lanes on Collier Boulevard.
Sidewalk closures are also in place along Davis Boulevard and Collier Boulevard, with alternate routes available for pedestrians.
The Florida Department of Transportation says there were some delays in construction during the holiday season, but the project is still expected to be completed by spring 2026.
