The Fort Myers Seafood and Music Festival is in full swing, offering a weekend of food, music, and entertainment. Visitors from all over, including Howard and Julie Tarant from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, are escaping the cold to enjoy the festival's vibrant atmosphere.
"We're here for some live music, good food, and lots of people," Howard said.
The festival features a variety of food vendors, including Darryl Johnson from Conch Sabroso Sauce out of Orlando, serving fresh shrimp and fritters made to order. Justin Branch, owner of Big Daddy's Loco from Charleston, South Carolina, is offering southern low-country seafood, including deep-fried soft-shell crabs and lobster tails with Creole sauce.
Sweet treats like snow cones, funnel cakes and Hawaiian lemonade are also available for those looking to indulge in some dessert.
The event is filled with live music performances, creating the perfect vibe for a relaxing weekend.
The festival runs through Sunday at Centennial Park in downtown Fort Myers, and tickets are free. Whether you love seafood and music or just want to relax, this is the place to be this weekend.
