Florida residents affected by Hurricanes Milton or Helene have until Tuesday to apply for federal disaster assistance. The aid program supports homeowners and renters who experienced losses from the storms.
According to FEMA, applications can be submitted online at DisasterAssistance.gov , through the FEMA app, by calling 800-621-3362, or in person at Disaster Recovery Centers.
Residents who need help locating a center can text "DRC" and their ZIP code to 43362.
Applicants who disagree with FEMA’s decision can file an appeal within 60 days of receiving their decision letter.
