The Lee County Sheriff's Office announced Sheriff Carmine Marceno took his oath of office.
According to a Facebook post from the LCSO , Marceno took his oath on Dec. 5, 2024, to serve as the county's sheriff for the next four years.
NBC2 reached out to the LCSO for proof that Marceno was administered the oath of office. However, no document was provided.
Marceno first publicly took the oath back in 2018 when he was appointed by then-Gov. Rick Scott. He was sworn in again in 2020 when he won the election.
