A road rage incident in Bonita Springs late Friday night led to a tire-slashing and the arrest of 37-year-old Matthew Tobler.
The victim claims Tobler was driving aggressively on U.S. 41, flipping off other drivers. After stopping in the middle of the road, the victim said Tobler threatened him with a knife and slashed his tire.
The victim snapped a picture of Tobler's SUV before he fled the scene.
Deputies later arrested Tobler at his Fort Myers home.
Visitors to Bonita Springs expressed concern about such unpredictable situations, with one man noting the importance of staying calm in these tense moments and avoiding confrontation.
