New owners are set to take over a historic Fort Myers Beach restaurant that recently closed its doors.
HM Restaurant Group has acquired Bonita Bill's, soon to be Bonita Fish Co. The restaurant group also owns and operates Doc Ford’s Rum Bar & Grille and Dixie Fish Company.
Bonita Bill's closed its doors for good Sunday after announcing its closure back in December. The restaurant has been a staple of Fort Myers Beach since the 1920s.
HM Restaurant Group says Bonita Fish Co. will honor the legacy of Bonita Bill's and complement the neighboring Dixie Fish Co. by offering a coastal-inspired menu and local seafood.
Renovations are set to begin immediately. The restaurant will close for now and is set to reopen as Bonita Fish Co. in mid-2025.
