FMPD SHARED THE PICTURES ON THEIR FACEBOOK PAGE FROM ALLEN PARK ELEMENTARY SCHOOL TODAY. STUDENTS AND STAFF WELCOMED OFFICERS TO SHOW SOME LOVE FOR NATIONAL LAW ENFORCEMENT APPRECIATION DAY. THAT IS TODAY AGENCIES AROUND THE GULF COAST MADE SPECIAL POST THANKING OFFICERS WHO WORK DAY AND NIGHT TO KEEP US SAFE. THE DAY WAS FIRST OBSERVED BACK IN 2015. THE GROUP CONCERNS OF POLICE SURVIVORS AND OTHER ORGANIZATIONS CAME UP WITH THE IDEA. THANK YOU TO ALL THE MEN AND WOMEN WHO PUT THEIR LIVES ON THE LINE TO KEEP US SAFE EVERY DAY. Fort Myers Police get some special recognition in Positively Southwest Florida.FMPD shared photos from Allen Park Elementary School Thursday. Student and staff welcomed officers to show some love for National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day. Agencies around the Gulf Coast made special posts thanking officers who work day and night to keep us safe. The day was first observed in 2015. The group, Concerns of Police Survivors, and other organizations came up with the idea. Thanks to all the men and women who put their lives on the line to keep us safe.
