When it comes to the Buffalo Bills, bells are thicker than blood for Glenn Timoteo.
"My brother, he's a Chiefs fan," said Timoteo. "He can't be perfect."
He grew up in Kansas City but fell in love with the Bills at the age of twelve when he attended his first Bills game at the Arrowhead Stadium.
"Watching it live, I mean, I was wishing my number was called. I was ready to run that ball. I knew the play," said Glenn.
Since then, he's gone to a handful of games and dozens of the teams' watch parties at Fort Myers Rondao's Sports Bar. But it's more than football that keeps him coming back.
"These two went to nursing school together," Glenn said as he pointed to two friends he met watching Bills games. "Just a great history of stories and games they went to.
Glenn's made about 30 new friends at the watch parties. This would help lead the charge a few months ago when he would take his hardest hit.
"I had a pain in my chest and my arm. I went to the emergency room, and the next thing I knew, my blood pressure was through the roof," said Glenn.
Ten to twelve inches of blood clots landed him in the hospital.
Three surgeries later, it was his watch party friends who would come to visit him in the hospital and lift his spirits.
"Even the waitresses and staff came to visit me," said Glenn. "Seeing everybody there for me. It was just surreal, it really was."
And upon seeing Glenn back at Rondao's in his Josh Allen jersey...
"Oh my gosh, the hugs that came around," said Mary. "He's back. He's back in the family."
So, while Glenn won't be breaking tables any time soon, enjoying a gameday isn't something he takes for granted.
"When you're called on the field or called to help another Bills mafia fan or to take care of yourself for a higher power, it all matters," said Glenn.
Thanks to these friends, it's dream work that makes the teamwork.
