A North Fort Myers man is facing multiple felonies in connection to a deadly crash on Burnt Store Road in Cape Coral, according to the Lee County Sheriff's Office.
On Wednesday, Jan. 8, deputies responded to a head-on collision on Burnt Store Road and Charlee Road.
Deputies said Leodanis Pelegrino Ramirez, 39, was driving a minivan when he was swerving and crossing the center line before striking an SUV.
The driver of the SUV was airlifted to the hospital, where that person was pronounced dead. The passenger of the SUV was also taken to the hospital with severe injuries.
Pelegrino Ramirez reportedly has no driver's license and has never been issued one.
He is now facing two counts of driving without a license, causing death or serious injury.
