A Fort Myers man is dead after a two-vehicle crash in Lehigh Acres Monday morning.
The Florida Highway Patrol responded to the scene on SR-82 at Alabama Road around 8:35 a.m.
A 40-year-old Fort Myers man was driving east on SR-82 on the left turn lane at the intersection of Alabama Rd.
A motorcycle, driven by a 25-year-old Estero woman, was driving west on SR-82, approaching Alabama Rd. at the same time.
Troopers said the Fort Myers man entered the direct path of the motorcycle, which caused the motorcyclist to strike the right side of the car.
FHP said the Fort Myers man was pronounced dead on the scene and this crash remains under investigation.
Westbound lanes were blocked at SR-82 and Alabama Rd. but have since reopened.
