The Naples City Council voted 5-2 to let Pride Festival return this summer. However, the drag show has to take place indoors again.
Councilman Bill Kramer and Raymond Christman both voted no, while Mayor Teresa Heitmann and the rest of the council voted yes.
On Wednesday morning, protestors held signs voicing opposition to the event.
The city council spent hours since 1 p.m. listening to 50 public speakers.
The festival is Naples Pride's largest fundraising event, and includes food, music, art, dancing and drag shows.
With the city council's vote, Pride Fest will happen in June this year.
