Off-campus law enforcement activity sent Littleton Elementary School into lockdown Friday afternoon.
Lee County Public Schools spokesman Rob Spicker said it happened around 1:40 p.m.
Spicker said it was over shortly after and students were dismissed from school.
It is unclear what prompted the heavy law enforcement presence, but NBC2 has questions out to the Lee County Sheriff's Office.
There has been no further information provided at this time.
