The Cape Coral porch pirates are at it again, according to southeast Cape Coral resident Joe Marshall.
A video from Thursday shows a delivery driver getting out of his car and dropping off a package.
Marshall said about 20 minutes later, a woman pulled up into his driveway, got out of the car, walked to the porch, grabbed the package and left.
"I'm wondering if she didn't even know she's stealing and if she's some type of Uber carrier service, and they told her to go to that address and pick up a package that was wrongly delivered or something like that," Marshall said.
Marshall thinks this may be related to another recent porch pirate incident.
Southeast Cape Coral resident Matthew Ward shared with NBC2 that a FedEx driver dropped off a package on Jan. 7.
Then, 15 minutes later, a woman took the package from his front door.
"The way the two women were both so nonchalant, just walking up calmly in broad daylight with someone home, in their case, and my truck was in the driveway in my case," Marshall said. "I just think it's organized."
In Ward's case, $200 AirPods are gone. In Marshall's case, a $400 mobile hotspot is gone. Marshall said the woman had never driven by his house before.
He is hoping this porch pirate gets caught. In the meantime, he is taking extra steps to secure his packages. He said he will opt-in to sign for his packages and get them as soon as they come to the door.
Police also recommend having packages delivered to your workplace or a trusted neighbor's home.
Cape Coral police said this is under investigation.
