On Wednesday, Fort Myers residents have an opportunity to share their thoughts with city leaders about a proposed affordable housing project.
The Fort Myers Community Redevelopment Agency is hosting a public hearing regarding the White Coral Development at 9 a.m.
This project is designed to address the need for more affordable housing in the Southwest Florida region.
The proposed development includes 26 single-family homes to be built on an 11.4-acre site at 2200 Jaylen Watkins Street.
These homes are intended to provide housing for families who meet the low and moderate-income qualifications for the area, according to the proposal.
The public hearing will take place today at 9 a.m. at City Hall, located at 2200 Second Street.
Residents are encouraged to attend and voice their opinions with Fort Myers city leaders.
